A while back I mentioned the tiny snails that cling to my dogs' fur if they lie down in the backyard for more than a couple of minutes. This one rode in on Kadi's belly this morning, and I thought you might like to see how small they are. Credit for this shot goes to Sister Mary Katherine, who was patient enough to lie on her back, paws in the air, not only while I washed mud off her feet, but also while I went to get the camera, a dime and a little piece of doublestick tape.

TC, she is patient. So was the snail...but then we expect that of snails.

Holly, she's a good girl and she aims to please.
If I have to pick something off Spot, whether it's a slug (or maybe it's a snail?) or a piece of grass or a little twig, he has to see what the heck I'm doing, plucking at his fur and getting so personal. So picking anything off Spot is a time-consuming business, often involving chasing him. You're lucky with Kadi!
