What's up, Doc?

Good news, that's what! The ultrasound of Kadi's liver and spleen looked great, no sign of any problems at all. We still have to wait for the results of a needle biopsy they did today, but the vet seemed really confident. Up until now I would have described her as cautiously optimistic; today she seemed to be enthusiastically optimistic -- a significant upgrade that means a lot to me.

Happy campers at our house today!

  1. Ah, that's good news. Glad to hear (read) it. Cheyenne had a lump we addressed on Monday. It's the only time I'm happy to hear "fatty cells."

  4. Good for Kadi and for you. Captain had a needle biopsy awhile back. It ended up just being a fatty mass that wouldnt cause any problems. The vet said it's a sign he's getting old. Someone should tell Cappy he's getting old because I don't think he knows it. Kadi will mostlikely have the same kind of harmless fatty mass as Cap. My vet said some dogs seem to get that, especially labs or lab mixes. I'm not sure of Kadi's breed though.

    smiles to you and yours,

  6. Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and supportive comments. I appreciate each and every one of you.

As I write this, the canine focus of all your good wishes has hidden her big self under my computer desk, where she's gotten tangled up with the mouse cord twice and the keyboard cord once in the past 10 minutes. Yes, in case you haven't guessed, we're having a little thunderstorm.
