I was back inside, taking my coat off, when Kim called, "Mom, I think you need to bring your camera out again and take a look at the back of the house." So I did. I've lived in this house nearly seventeen years, and it's the first time I've ever seen anything like this:
They looked ever bigger when I stood right under them:
Frankly, I was impressed. Lucy, however, couldn't have cared less.
Wow! Those ARE impressive! Lucy gas the right idea. Smart girl!
ReplyDeleteHolly, you wouldn't believe how fast they melted.
DeleteVelvet thank you for fixing mama's picture on Sister Betty's blog....Definately the velvet touch!
ReplyDelete4th Sister, I was glad to do it. I'm fascinated by old pictures, and cleaning them up (if I can--I've had my share of failures) is a labor of love.
DeleteThose ARE pretty impressive icicles. I'm with Lucy...if it is cold enough for icicles stay in bed!
ReplyDeleteAunt Betsy, I might have crawled right in next to Lucy if she didn't snore like a drunken lumberjack. (Not that I have any actual experience with drunken lumberjacks; I'm just using that term metaphorically).
DeleteThat's not what I heard about you and the drunken lumberjacks, water cooler gossip, you know.
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I swear the rumor wasn't true. First of all, they weren't lumberjacks, just a couple of good ol' boys who worked at the Home Depot. Secondly, they were only slightly snockered (they'd split a six-pack after work). And nobody slept.
