On second thought, the zen quality of this activity might free your mind to work out the kinks in plot points.Linda@VShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04499621332375290781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-57305128884256418142011-12-06T21:44:19.437-06:002011-12-06T21:44:19.437-06:00Your first efforts are wonderful -- I've been ...Your first efforts are wonderful -- I've been wanting to try this.Vicki Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08114677510459055768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-78230309447978235432011-12-06T10:27:10.929-06:002011-12-06T10:27:10.929-06:00Marion, I'm glad you're going to try this....Marion, I'm glad you're going to try this. I know from seeing the face sketches you posted the other day that you have some natural artistic talent, so Zentangling should be easy for you. It is meditative--and also hard to put down once you get in that "zone."Linda@VShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04499621332375290781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-82453607879691915692011-12-06T08:06:07.933-06:002011-12-06T08:06:07.933-06:00I really like these. I think yours look good, and I like the idea of putting them all together...there's no stopping once you start, I imagine. At least, that's the way it would be with me!

It sounds really meditative...I like Janet's idea of your last one having a code. I'm sure there are people with better eyesight and steadier hands than mine whose enlargements would look just fine. I think my overall designs will get better with practice, but my individual strokes and dark fill-ins probably won't.

Fortunately, I've had enough life experience that my world no longer falls apart when I make mistakes. Boy, did that take a long time to learn.Linda@VShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04499621332375290781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-45510229763912215522011-12-05T10:18:41.315-06:002011-12-05T10:18:41.315-06:00Interesting-I see what you mean about the overall ...Interesting-I see what you mean about the overall pattern, not the individual lines-when I clicked to enlarge, they didn't look as good when I could see the individual lines.

I like how you incorporated things you could see from your seat into your design. It's kind of like a code!

I'll give it a try when I get some quiet time, which might not be for a while. :-pAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
