Scary, indeed!

Annette, anyone who hasn't met your little Ruffles would read this and think she must weigh a hundred pounds or more. Of course, I once had a four-pound poodle that killed (and ate the tasty parts of) our parakeet. She also delivered mice to us on several occasions, presenting them as if they were prizes, their tails hanging out of her mouth. I guess size doesn't matter if the prey drive is strong enough.
Linda@VShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04499621332375290781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-39645096334750044702013-03-28T12:15:23.066-05:002013-03-28T12:15:23.066-05:00Like you said, it is disturbing for us, but the do...Like you said, it is disturbing for us, but the dogs are just following their genetic code. That "Golden" part of Goldendoodle is a great retriever. I guess the coot was just too much for him to resist. Scott and I joke that Lucy won't kill anything bigger than her paw, so that restricts her to lizards, grasshoppers and baby mice. But Ruffles has killed all of the following: two raccoons, rabbit, two coral snakes and mice. She has attempted armadillos but can't bite through the armor. Twice she has brought a stunned possum in the house, so proud of her kill. Fortunately they were just "playin' possum" and survived. You can't beat Mother Nature.Annette Harringtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15367278617237356980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21612081.post-64270009091150867062013-03-27T22:22:39.497-05:002013-03-27T22:22:39.497-05:00I've seen Mabel kill a kitten, attack a cat an...I've seen Mabel kill a kitten, attack a cat and wrestle with a raccoon.
